in MOIG News

10 June 2026, ETAP, a member and hosting company of MOIG, invited the MOIG Director to participate in the meeting of the Main Expertise Committee, convened to review and approve the assessment results of 75 engineers applying for various expertise levels, ranging from Confirmed Engineer to Senior Engineer Level 3, in accordance with ETAP’s Expertise Promotion System.

This meeting followed a subcommittee session held on 30 April 2026, during which the evaluation results of the candidates’ dossiers were thoroughly examined and discussed.

The meeting was attended by the ETAP Vice Chairman, representatives of the Human Resources Department, members of the Special Skills Committee, representatives of the Basic Syndicate, and members of the Joint Committee.

The MOIG Director participated in the meeting as the representative of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) discipline.

ETAP established its Expertise Promotion System in 1993 to support the professional development of its technical staff. The system is specifically designed for engineers who may not pursue managerial career paths, while providing motivation and opportunities to enhance their technical competencies and advance their careers. The assessment of expertise dossiers is conducted according to well-defined criteria for each discipline and is based on the engineers’ achievements and contributions over specified periods ranging from two years for the Confirmed Engineer level to eleven years for the Senior Engineer Level 3.

The Expertise Promotion System covers a wide range of disciplines, including Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Geology, Geophysics, Laboratory Sciences, Database Management, Reservoir Geology, Reservoir Engineering, Project Engineering, Production Engineering, Drilling and Workover Engineering, and Operations Geology.

The Members of the Management Committee would like to express their sincere appreciation to ETAP for its continued trust and confidence in MOIG and for the opportunity to contribute to this important professional development initiative.
