A mutual assistance agreement was signed; on 12th November 2014; between MOIG on one hand and SEREPT, TPS and DNO in the other hand.
The main objective of this agreement is to set up an effective cooperation mechanism for controlling or reducing marine pollution in the Golf of Gabes in Tunisia.
It was agreed that MOIG will:
- Ensure the coordination with the HSEQ Managers in case of Oil Spills
- Provide technical support through its network of experts in the Mediterranean region in case of need
- Organize regular Oil Spill Response exercises in cooperation with members
This agreement confirms the enhancing of cooperation and information exchange among MOIG members. This will build a foundation that we hope will continue to strengthen in the coming years.
