Within the framework of POSOW II project, the MOIG Director performed preparatory meetings on 27 October 2016 with MARETAP and ECUMED teams in Zarzis.

The main objective of these meeting was to discuss the technical and logistical arrangements for practical exercise titled “Oiled Shoreline Survey and Cleanup”.

The exercise is scheduled to be held on 24 November 2016 by Cedre, REMPEC, ISPRA and FEPORTS for representatives of Libyan Oil and Gas Industry. In addition, visits were carried out to MARETAP Terminal and ECUMED base to check the Cleanup area and Oil Spill Response equipments that will be used during the practical exercise day.

We were very pleased with the overall results of these meetings, both MARATEP and ECUMED representatives expressed their commitment to mobilize human and material resources to ensure the success of this event.
