As part of Oil Spill Response Limited “OSRL” representatives visit to Tunisia, successful meetings were performed from 31 October and 04 November 2016 in MOIG office and ETAP headquarter, between the Management Committee Members composed of Mr Yassine Mestiri, ETAP Vice-Chairman, the MOIG Director, Mr. Nick Hazelt Beard-Business Development Manager and Mr. Dave Oland - Southern & East Africa Regional Preparedness Advisor.

The main objective of these meetings was to enhance cooperation and information exchange between MOIG and OSRL on Oil Spill Preparedness and Response in Tunisia and Mediterranean region.

These meetings were a good opportunity to meet Mr Dave Oland the New OSRL representative in Southern & East Africa and know the latest news related to OSRL Services Directory as well as to discuss about training, oil spill modeling etc…

We were very pleased with the outcome of these meetings, both parties agreed to organize an Oil Spill Preparedness Workshop on 14 and 15 March 2017; in Tunis-Tunisia; that will include a training session dedicated to Incident Management System “IMS 100”.

The MOIG Management Committee Members would like to thank OSRL for its support and commitment for this particular action to improve Oil Spill Preparedness for Oil and Gas Industry in Tunisia and the Mediterranean Region.
