The MOIG Management Committee was very delighted to welcome the new member Amilcar Petroleum Operations (APO).
APO is the Joint Venture Company between ETAP (Tunisian National Oil Company) and Shell Tunisia Upstream (STU) and was created; on 06th May 2014; as the main entity for operations of Hasdrubal field; located in Amilcar permit; about 100 km from the coast in the Gulf of Gabes in Tunisia.
Hasdrubal filed is the key oil and gas facility in Tunisia and produced gas, condensate and oil with a daily rate of 22000 BOE. The production facility includes an offshore platform, a gas condensate, LPG processing Terminal based in Sfax, LPG pipelines and LPG storage as well as an Export Station located in Gabes.
APO has a Tier 1 response capability package to combat oil spills, composed of offshore boom, skimmer and storage tanks.
