Two meetings were held; on 20-21 June 2018; between M. Kerem Kemerli, General Manager and MOIG Director in MEKE Marine office in Istanbul-Turkey.
The main objective of these meetings was to discuss the technical and logistical preparedness of the Regional Workshop on Building an Effective National and Regional Preparedness and Response Capacity & Golden Horn – Istanbul Spill Response Exercise; to be held over 06-08 November 2018 in Istanbul-Turkey.
We were very delighted with the outcome of these meetings, the Steering Committee members composed of representatives from Turkish Petroleum, MEKE Marine and MOIG agreed to mobilize the required means and resources to ensure the success of this event.
