Despite the current situation related to COVID-19, MOIG secretariat remains fully operational and available to 24/7 assistance for members. We have been working remotely since the pandemic struck. However, in light of the gradual improvement to the situation in Tunisia and the easing of some restrictions, the MOIG Director returned to work on 04th June 2020 in the office on a regular basis.

As previously announced, a number of MOIG activities such as the training course on “Oil Spill Waste Management” to be held in Tunis-Tunisia; in cooperation with Cedre and REMPEC; and the regional workshop titled “Enhancing Oil Spill Preparedness and Response in the Adriatic and Mediterranean Regions” to be held in Opatija-Croatia; in cooperation with ATRAC and JANAF; planned for this year was regrettably postponed to next year; due to Corona Pandemic. However, the MOIG Secretariat is exploring ways with members and technical partners to set new dates; depending on their availability, in order to deliver the above-mentioned activities that will be publishing more information in due course.
