21 January 2021, the MOIG Director participated to webinar training session titled “How to Activate OSRL” organized by Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL); technical partner; via electronic conferencing platform; from OSRL’s Fort Lauderdale base in USA.

Mr. Daniel Cruz, Duty Manager explained the OSRL activation process when an incident occurs or when there’s risk of dealing with it. He presented all available means of communication to activate OSRL such as Emergency lines of OSRL bases located around the world, the E-mail address and the Notification & Mobilization Forms that can be downloaded from OSRL Website. He stated also the necessary information that OSRL will need when a call is made to activate line and facilitate the process such as: the contact details of the member company, the location of incident, the spill details nand the weather conditions.

In addition, Mr. Daniel Cruz outlined what members can get from OSRL through the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Supplementary Services such as free technical advice and response support (5*5 Virtual or on Scene), benefit from OSRL highly trained spill response specialist personnel, 2D &

3D oil spill trajectory and tracking, the support from response partners, spill response equipment and transportation, Subsea Well Intervention Services (SWIS), Global Dispersant Stockpile (GDS) and containment toolkit.
