02 December 2025, the Mediterranean Oil Industry Group (MOIG) is pleased to invite you to participate in the Shoreline Cleanup Assessment Techniques (SCAT) Training Course, which will take place from 08 to 12 February 2026 at Ennakhla Hotel, in Kerkennah Island–Tunisia.
This event will be organized in cooperation with Thyna Petroleum Services (TPS) and Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL).
This training aims to strengthen participants theoretical knowledge and practical skills in shoreline assessment and oil spill response. It will provide a comprehensive understanding of how the SCAT programme is managed within the Incident Command and the roles required to make the SCAT Programme successful.
An in-field exercise will form part of the programme; therefore, participants are kindly requested to bring their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Sturdy footwear and sun hat or cap.
In addition, the programme will include a classroom exercise using images from past spills to fill in a Shoreline Oiling Summary Form.
The working language of the training will be English. The detailed programme is attached for your reference.
For organizational and technical reasons, and to ensure the smooth running of the event, the training will be conducted in two sessions, as follows:
Session 1: 08–09 February 2026
Session 2: 11–12 February 2026
Each member may nominate up to two participants, one for each session, to attend the training course.
To allow MOIG to finalise logistical arrangements in due time, we would be grateful if you could complete the attached Registration Forms (Registration Form Session 1 , Registration Form Session 2) and return them by email to houcine.mejri@moig.org.tn at your earliest convenience, preferably before 25 January 2026.
