On 19 August 2025, a meeting was held via Microsoft Teams between the MOIG Director and Mr. Tim Nobes, Preparedness Solutions Advisor (Europe, Caspian and North Africa) at Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL).

This meeting aimed to explore potential avenues of collaboration between MOIG and OSRL, with particular emphasis on promoting training programmes designed to strengthen oil spill preparedness and response capabilities in the Mediterranean region. It also provided an opportunity to presen MOIG’s planned activities for the coming year, including regional workshops to be conducted in cooperation with members and technical partners. Mr. Tim Nobes confirmed OSRL’s support to MOIG.

Furthermore, the MOIG Director extended an invitation to Mr. Tim Nobes to visit Tunisia.
