7 September 2021, the Management Committee was very pleased to announce that the database related to inventory of oil spill response equipments was finalized and currently displayed in MOIG Website under “Member’s Area” heading.

The database was designed with the aim to make it more user-friendly and easier to navigate and download all the information related to oil spill response equipments of its members.

The database includes the main base technical characteristics of ten (10) oil spill response equipments such as: Booms, booms auxiliaries, sorbents, skimmers, skimmers auxiliaries, storage means, power packs, pumps, dispersant spraying and wildlife. In addition, MOIG dedicated a sections to dispersant products, marine and air units.

As announced earlier, the database will be highly secure to guarantee the confidentiality of member’s data and will allow them to exchange information and share their resources. The access parameters (Usernames and Passwords) have been sent to all members having in their possession an oil spill response kits.

MOIG also sent to members a short demonstration explaining how to download the oil spill response equipments data.
