13 March 2025, within the framework of the preparation of the training course on response to accidental oil pollution at sea and on the shoreline “IMO level 2” and the Practical Exercise to be held from 19 to 22 May 2025 in Bizerte-Tunisia, a meeting was held at the Tunisian Society of Refining Industries (STIR) between Feten Rezgui; STIR Environment responsible, Houcine Mejri, MOIG Director, and Arnaud Guèna (By video conference), Deputy Director and expert from the Center of Documentation, Research and Experimentation on Accidental Water Pollution (Cedre).

The main objectives of this meeting were to exchange ideas and views about the scenario, the oil spill response equipments to be deployed during the exercise and to discuss the logistical arrangements of the event.

Houcine MEJRI accompanied by Feten REZGUI afforded the opportunity to see the new warehouse hosting the oil spill response equipments. In addition, a visit was performed to the jetties; the location on where will be conducted the practical exercise.
