07 July 2023, the Management Committee Members are very pleased to invite members and technical partners to participate to Kerkennah Tier 1 Oil Spill Response Exercise N°2; which will be held ; on 21th September 2023 ; in Cercina field, in Kerkennah Island-Tunisia.

The exercise will be organized jointly by Thyna Petroleum Services (TPS); member and the Mediterranean Oil Industry Group (MOIG).

The event will open on Thursday, 21th September 2023 at 10:00 am and expected to close on the same day at 14:00 pm.

From 17 January to 07 July 2023, four Steering Committee Meetings were performed between TPS and MOIG representatives for the development of the exercise, in which was discussed the type/scale, the oil spill scenario, the response strategy, the roles and responsabilities, the communication, the logistical part and other points. In addition, a check of oil spill response equipment was achieved on 26 January 2023 in Cercina field.

The mains objectives of the exercise will be to test the notification procedures, the operations, the containment, the recovery and the safety affairs.

The working languages will be English and French. The exercise agenda will be provided in due time. Participants ; who wish to attend the exercise ; are kindly requested to bring with them their Personal Protective Equipment: Uniform, safety shoes and helmet.
